Take your interior pieces off to expose the crank shaft and metal framework everything is bolted to. Remove screws and the bolts that hold the assembly on to the interior metal and also the bolts that hold the single track in place. The other portion of the tracks are attached to the window frame and it's best to remove the window as well. Be patient it takes some calculating moves to slide all the guts out the topside of the window opening. Once you have all of the parts, bolts and tracks removed clean the tracks and grease very well on the inside of the tracks before putting back together. I believe I slipped the regulator in first and then put the window frame in guiding the rollers onto the tracks of the window as I lowered it into the car, may take trial and error, but I was able to figure it out, as I said be patient !!
Take special note on how the window and crank stops are positioned before putting back together, maybe best to take pictures to reference. I did my 67' convertible last year and once I had all the parts cleaned and reassembled they worked like new.
Take note of how all of the parts came apart and resemble in the same manner.
