well how much money do you have is the first question. Alum heads for sure. do you have the correct motor mounts for your beast? if not they run about300 bucks. Im working on a 429 for my 73 amd im guessing it will cost me around 4000 total for the biuld . It would cost alot more but my brother is doing all the machine work and assymbly. that alone will save me 2k easy.

someone told me that a set of 460 police intersepter heads would be the way to go on the motor.

oh what size motor did the car have before.  If it wasn't a big block you will need new springs in the front.  and they ran us 75 for the set at Auto Zone.

One thing to keep in mind is how will your rear end hold up to that monster??? Im guessing you have a 9'' so thats a good starting point. Build the hell out of it put some nasty gears in it if just a weekend ground pounder and if its a daily drive(if so i love you)then youd probly want somethin that can do a little freeway from time to time lin 3.55 or somethin! cant wait to see it when ur done.   keep us up to date on the build and on what you deside to do with that beat of a motor.

P.S. you can never have enough torque i.e. Stroke the thing to hell and back!
