289 w/ T-5 & 4:11
« on: November 11, 2011, 09:35:13 AM »
Hey, I've got a mildly built 289 w/ a C-4 and a 2:79rear end. I'm thinking about a 302/ 5.0 engine & a  T-5 out of the same 5.0 GT and a 4:11 rear end. Just looking for some feedback and wondering what kind of highway speed I'm looking at. This is T-5 is a stock gearbox
(I think).  ET

Depends on your tire size as you will likely be running shorter tires than the donor car.

In 5th at 70, you should be around 2600 rpm with a stockish tire size.
