Topic: 1973 Bolt Pattern Question??????

I have a 1973 Ford Mustang. I have had problems with rims for my car. All I see is for the 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I have a 4 1/4. How many mustangs had this. Was it certain models. Mine has the 351 cleveland engine, front disc brakes. I have measured and even tried to stick a 4  1/2 Bolt rim and would not fit. I found a 4 1/4 spare and it fits. So I know it is the 4 1/4. Can Anyone Help? Thanks jemoore

That's weird.  I have never heard of a 4 1/4 " bolt pattern on a classic mustang with 5 bolts.   Maybe sometime in the car's past history a PO switched the hubs out for those.   Doesn't make sense though.  Do those look like stock factory steel wheels?  Here is a bolt pattern guide that shows you that all 5 bolt Mustangs from 1965-1973 had a 4 1/2 inch spacing pattern.  Maybe the hubs came off of a newer Mustang.  I know the 1974 and up 6 bangers had 4 1/4 bolt patterns, but they were only 4 bolts.  That's got me stumped.
