Topic: 1970 Mach 1 tape stripe color question

Hi fellow 'stangers,
Got a question for a 1970 mach 1 I am restoring. Found the build sheet. Color code is "C" so that would be Dark Ivy Green Metallic right? Now what would Tape stripe "A" stand for? What color would that be?

I would probobly go with black stripes unless you like the red with gold.

Black would be the way to go. While red and gold may be slightly tolerable, Pink and Purple may be a little too much.

If you send your vin# in to mariautoworks he will tell you what stripe it had,Could have been black or white, White is very rare.

I don't know what the original tape color would have been, but with a dark color, you want to choose a much lighter color such as gold or white.  Black would get lost in the dark Ivy body color I would think.  My choice would be gold.

I'd go with the black. There are plenty of pics out there of white stripes on 70 mach 1 and just doesn't look too good to me.
