1966 Standard trans fit a 1982 302 ci

Hey,  I was wondering if anyone knows if a 1966 Standard trans fits on a 1982 302 ci motor?

Yes, if the transmission is from a V8.  You probably have to change the flywheel though because the 302 engine imbalance changed from 28 oz to 50 oz around 1981.
