Hi all. I am new here and just bought my first Mustang here in Belgium. Its a 1969 coupe in good running condition and with no rust. The car is hit before I got it on the left front fender. I replaced the fender by an use one and install it but the hood do not line up with the fenders end where the lights are. Other than the old fender everything look good the  new one look good too. Can someone tell me if the hood corner can be lower to line with the fender or do i have to bring it to a garage? Thank you for this very good site.

welcome to this site. when you replaced the fender did you remember the shimes? it looks like a U that sites around the bolt holes. this could explain the differnce . Also alot of repo hood will not fit right and will need some tweeking. fender and hood aligment is tricky and is like a lost art.  But if it was hit in the front the metal is probbeen pushed up, so if you tap it down with a hammer, just a little at a time . fit and removel . it will take a while so be patiant. unless you want a body shop but it will cost around 80 bucks an hour for labor. im sure you can do it.

Oulala! very nice Mustang Godfather, I seen it in the photo gallery and even wrote a comment about the Hood tach. Where can I found one?
Thank you all for your help. I am going to go to look at the shims but I think it is not that because everything is lined except the end of the hood that go up or the fender go down, not sure. If I hit with a hammer I am afraid to make holes or hit the wrong place. Maybe the garage is better.
Thank you very much.

what alot of shops will do is line it up as close as possible and use a 2x4 and lay it on the hood or panel and use a rubber mallet and beat into shape. the soft wood will not ding it.

The hood tach?    Well I found mine local, but ebay would be a great place to look type in hood tach.  Now some may be way over priced but you might get luck and get one for 4 or 5 hundred, I have seen them go for as high as 800.

you could run a add in your local paper never know who has one sitting around.

Thanks for the comment about my car.
