I was doing some thinking about the restomod thing. Here's my opinion. It's great to restore classics back to original, but why would you want that for every mustang ever built? Mustangs are a VERY common car... for a good reason. Where else can you get this much car for so little money? They are a great deal and have enough things right about them that they are very popular, but the fact remains they are everywhere, so why not add some custom stuff to them and put some variety out there? Just please don't make them rice!

I agree that anything you can add to make them go faster is perfectly acceptable, and encouraged, but custom body panels, flame paint,  fart cans and 20" chrome wheels etc is ricing IMO.

A rice with stripes, 20 inch rims, custom body panels like this one, I wouldn't mind having it in my garage.  ;D
Like everything, if it's done with taste modifying a Mustang is the way to go.

Yeah, somebody had more money than brains to create that monster.  I wonder what "go fast" toys he spent his money on before screwing up the body?   ;D

So, that's a new Shelby, huh?  That's the ugliest Mustang I have ever seen.  I am well aware of the Texan's AC cobra history, but what is in the new Shelby today?

back to topic.

I was thinking Hugger Orange. Its off of a 90s camaro. My mom use to own one of them in that color and I loved it. And you dont really see that many orange mustangs aroung.

Or Sunburst Orange off of a 2000 Trans Am.

If you have a black interior, organge would be good.  Here is the "Grabber" orange that Mustang has been using since the 60's.  I love the one with the black racking strips.  Now, that is class.   How about that black shading on the door.  Sweet!

I think vinyl looks a little tacky on cars, sure it looks nice from afar, but i really dont like it. I really like that orange on that SN95. I'm hoping to put my baby in the paint shop by next month, I'm working on the body now to try and get all my chips and cracks fixed. I need a driver side drip molding for my car, mine has a nice little crack going down it. I also have to take my wing off and bolt it down better because whoever did it before my calked it, so my dad is going to help me make it all better. (he is such a handyman)

I let my mom borrow some money so in about a month i should have my car painted. (in the mean time im doing body work so i don't have to pay for it lol)

So this is the Sunburst Orange i was talking about, I found it on a Viper (which is in fact my dream car)

The earlier Vipers look small compared to the new ones.  The new Vipers look much bigger than that because of the redesigned tail end I think.  Dodge doesn't give them away.  I was in a Dodge dealership a few months ago, and they had a 2009 Viper on the showroom floor, and the cost was $80,000.  ::)

That's a very appealing color of orange.  I too agree that the dark blue with white racing stripes is the best combination.  I would love to own the car I posted.   ;D

Red is a cop magnet.

Cops and I are not friends.

My car is already illegal enough.. no cats, tint to dark, ect ect.
Don't want to attract more attention. the car would look pretty nice red.

I'm almost to the point where im willing to leave it white. Since I have to get a new wing, the funds for the project have been shot down. I also am looking to get new gages for the car, i have iequus in them right now, i want to get better ones.

Im so undecisive.  :-[
