Hello everyone my father inlaw bought a 71 Mustang conv he want to know how to tell what the original color of the upholstery, the car color is I guess ginger exterior and the top is white, he says the vin does not tell the color of the upholstery any thoughts    Thanks Jeff

There should be a decal on the drivers door that has a code for the interior color. If not, you can contact Kevin Marti at  http://www.martiauto.com/ for a report of the car that will give you what you want, plus. It will cost you a minimum of $30 depending on what you request. Kevin bought the Ford Motor Co assembly line data base for 1967 on cars and the info is accurate.
