I am about to buy a 1965 Mustang and I went to look at the VIN # on the drivers door and noticed the color letter or # symbol is not there, it skips right to the trim symbol. I was hoping someone could tell me why.  Thanks- Texastang

It might have been a special order or Promo car.I just read something about this on a web site.Check the link there is a guy making a statement about the same thing you are asking about.

if that dont help give us the trim code and any others on the door and I will look at my book and see if I can help you with the paint
