Pull up the blade and press the small tab underneath, then get a towel and a screw driver and put the blade of the screwdriver blade undererneath the circular connection and pop it off. The reason for the towel is to keep frim scratching the paint. I had my windshield replaced, and the technician just wiggled it and yanked it off.
