Topic: turbo mustang wont idle HELP!!!

Ok here is my situation. I put my 87 5.0 motor from my convertable into my 92 notch than added a t-70 turbocharger, 40# injectors, msd btm, calibrated maf, and holley systemax 2 kit, and aeromotive fuel pressure regulator that is boost referenced.  It runs decent but it idle surges.. it tries to idle at 400 or so than once it about dies it revs to stay alive than back down to 400 again.   Iv tried many ideas to help this thing... im starting to think it may just need tuned and thats it..  I dunno   ?? any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Welcome to the site.  My first guess would be a vacuum leak.  Check all the hoses, then under and around the intake and the carb.

Iv got alot of vacum lines but theyre all new and the ports im not useing are closed off... i have my pcv wide open in the back.. does that need to feed into the intake for some reason?

Yes.  Plug your PCV into the intake.

ok i will do that then.   would the car needing tuned be keeping it from idleing correctly or is there probably other issues that i need to address?

A good tune up will reveal any tuning issues.

i too belive it is a leaking vaccum line. my old turbo 95 civic had a similar problem, and it was a leak in the vaccum line going to the boost sensetive fuel pressure regulator.

im 90 % percent sure it's a vacuum line.. asa what Soaring said check around the intake manifold and check around to see if any lines are disconnected.. oh and btw some leaky old gaskets maybe your problem as well..
