Quick question about fuel evap system and Carb hose

Hi everyone i just got my stang and have not been able to drive it due having some smog problems. The fuel evap system failed the test. Can somebody help me and let me know what is the fuel evap system.

the second thing is i put a new 4 barrell carb on my stang since when i bought it it was a two barrel but i would like to know were this hose runs to or if its capped. I would appriciate it.
