Topic: power steering trouble

my 93 gt has power steering but it doesn't feel like it does at all. its hard to turn the wheel unless you get it rolling. think i need a new pump?

if you have fluid in it and it still is hard to turn then most likely it is bad but there could be a problem with the power rack and pinion?

It's most likely the pump.  Just be sure you bleed it properly.  I had to replace the rack and pinion on my Mach, but that was a case of a broken seal.  If the rack is not leaking, then you most lilkely have a bad pump.

it was the pump. had some problems at first. had to bleed it a few times. but it turns easy now.

Still having trouble with the power steering.  got a very fast leak coming from the rack and pinion boot on the driver side. leaking out from around the clamp. just need some advice i guess. should i get a new boot? if so whats involved with installing it. never had this kind of problem before, but i want to try to fix it myself. sometimes thats cheaper... sometimes...... anybody help me out please, send me a link to a guide or something, thanks.

Dam replace it as what Soaring said.. i had that problem on my old wrk truck..
