okay as for my other post's.. my friend said to put them at .45 spark plug gap he said thats for all ford v8's.. and on auto zone website it's say's .54 who should believe.. and my other friends' says its my crankcase sensor.. everytime i turn the key to start it up my rpm's hardly move...  :'( :'(.. can someone send me pic of there starter solenoid on the fender,i rearrange my wire's on the solenoid and now that my be my other problem.. thanks for reading this post it really help's when you guy's help.. its always good that mustang owner helps another mustang owner.. plez help !!!  :-\ :'( :'(

I'm not sure about a 1990, but on my '65 289 the spark plug gap calls for 0.035.  Here is a pic of my solenoid and how it is hooked up.  This may or may not help you.   The red wire on the positive side is for another application I have so you won't need that.

If you are refering to a 1990 Mustang plug gap, I would put a bit more faith in Autozone than anyone who say ALL Ford V-8s have a specific gap. Your best bet is to get a book, Haynes, Chiltons or whatever, for your car and use their specs.
And Glen, what year Studebaker did that solenoid come out of?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!  do not do either gap you stated!  that is almost a half an inch......  maybe you ment to put a zero in front of the numbers????   like .045 instead of .45

That pic was taken tonight from my 65 Mustang Jim,.  However, I do agree that a Chiltons or Haynes needs to to purchased if you are going to pursue working on these dinosaurs.
