Topic: My first post needs to be Tech. stalling

I just bought my 93 the other night. Its a 5.0 automatic. The problem im having is it wants to stall when in park or drive. in park it will idle smooth for about 30 seconds or so, then will have what seems a surge or something. the tach will drop from 900rpm to about 400rpm. It will catch its self and kick up to about 1100rpm run 30 seconds and do it all again. by about the 5th time it will stall.

in drive the exact same but it happens faster.

drives under load or cruising speed perfect.

any help would be great.

Check your fuel supply.  Maybe a fuel filter stopped up.

well wasn't fuel.

The guy i bought it from recently replaced a sensor located right nest to the throttle body. Wonder if that could do with it.

I've had 60 reviews and just one post to help me out. am i not in the cool click, or am i being to vague?

could be the throttle position sensor like soaring said.
