MAF sensore help!!??
« on: October 18, 2009, 05:52:36 PM »
So My car has the 24 lb injectors with the 498 lift cam and a 70 mm throttle body and spacer and its got the upper and lower edelbrock intake. Well its got the stock MAF sensore which is made for the 19 lb injectors so my car is not running like it should be. But what size mm of maf sensor do i need to get? There is the 73 mm maf sensor for the 24 lb injectors and i didnt know if that was to big for my car? its got the 5.0 liter in it. Thanks

the size of the maf doesnt really matter. you need to either have your maf calibrated for the 24# injectors or you can buy one that is calibrated for 24#.

yea i ordered a 100mm maf sensor and had my injectors out and cleaned and tuned on a dyno and it is pushing a little under 300 hp at the wheels and 316 pds of torque..  the sensor is alot bigger than i thought it would need to be but it works. Now anyone know where i can get an idle control valve? mine needs to be replaced soon. thanks
