Sounds like grounding problems to me.  You need to clean all the wiring grounds so they make good contact.  Also, change the bulbs to new ones and use your pocket knife to scrape the lead contacts so they make good contact.

so i got new headlight bulbs, that fixed my dim problem. but i've discovered that the wiring has been tampered with. for some reason somebody wired the turn signals and parking lights together. can i buy a new wiring harness for all the lights? or can somebody help me find a wiring diagram that might get things back right? i'd really appreciate it. i hate riding around with no signals.

a junkyard will be your best bet...the harness is the same for gt and lx model if i remember correctly so you can just take the harness from say a 4cylinder car and run with it.

the GT car have problems with their fog lights it is a big strain on the headlight switch and the turn signal switch a lot of people install headlight and fog light relays to fix this problem

i'm suppose to have fog lights on my car but they're missing. and the wires have all been spliced. i did find a wiring diagram to rewire the headlights so they don't overload the switch. but that doesn't help me solve the turn signal problem. i replaced my flasher. nothing works right in the front except my headlights. my hazards work fine in the rear. but if i turn on the turn signal the light just stays on, it doesn't flash. could it be a faulty switch? or could it have something to do with the wires up front?

You've got to get those wires squared away before you try anything else, but it could be the flasher unit itself.  Also, make sure the turn signal bulbs are new and making good contact.  Go to Google and search for a wiring diagram for your year model.
All I have are for the classics.
