gt40p heads roller rockers and valve springs
« on: October 12, 2008, 05:47:16 PM »
I just bought a set of gt40p heads and would like to upgrade with a set of new valve springs and roller rockers. However i do not know what valve seat pressure i should be using with an e-cam? Also i would like some advice on a good set of roller rockers that will not break the bank!

id look for a set of used factory cobra rockers(93-95) they will bolt on to the pedestal style setup with no mods as for springs id imgine the stockers would be decent unless they are worn, but id check out the ford motorsports page to make sure

now if you cant find a set of the cobra rockers then i suggest the crane energizer setup you will also have to get a crane pedestal conversion kit to run them, along with hardened pushrods

you really cant go wrong with the crane cams products....... also food for thought..... my 302 (which is 397hp at the wheels) is running 1.6 ratio intake and 1.7ratio exhaust rockers, i have a dyno hook up and had both sets lying around and that combo gave me the best results for the straight line (drag) and street driving/racing .  hope this helps   (p.s. just make sure that your valve to piston clearance it good to go if you do a larger than stonk ratio or have a milled head or decked block)
