engine idle

hey guys my mustang idle is weird. i start it up and let it run and about five mins later, it start to go up and down and almost stals out but never dose and then a min or so later it will be fine again then it will start all over again i had a buddy adjust the timing cuz it was set way to high what elas coulf i do to fix the problem thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak.  Spray some carburetor cleaner around the intake bottom.  If the engine picks up, then you have an intake manifold leaking.  Also check your vacuum hoses for leaks.

i agree. i had the same problem. thats exactly what i did with the starting fluid. i found a bad gasket between my lower intake and head.
