Drivers side sag
« on: April 26, 2009, 07:15:37 PM »
I have a 1992 LX 5.0 and I just installed new rear springs and shocks to try and cure my drivers side lean. Drivers side sags 2 inches lower than the pass. side. The sag is on drivers side front and rear.  Anyone here had the same problem.  And please tell me the solution.  THANKS ALOT

Twisted frame? Could be from too much HP or from an accident?

I thought about a twisted frame.  I know its not from too much HP.  Dont they sag to the pass side with alot of HP?

Did this problem gradually come on, or all of a sudden?   Did you replace the front coil spring?  Jack the car up and do a thorough eyeball inspection underneath looking for any damage, rusted out frame rail,  separated welded joints etc.  Take a hammer under there and tap the hell out of all parts having anything to do with the integrity of the rigidity of the frame as such.  Does this Mustang get driven in snow country during the winter?  If so, you may want to look very carefully for massive rust.

I am new to mustangs.  I bought the car like this.  I have checked the torque boxes and they are fine. No underbody rust.  The rear also is pushed towards the pass. side about 3/4 of an inch.  I am getting ready to change the front springs and struts and I will post back to tell what the out come is.  I will also post pictures.  Thanks alot for some help on where to look.  I will also look over the car a little more closely.
