im a ford guy just like u guys but not a chevy hater but i went on like 6 r 7 chevy forums and thay cant come up with nothing it seems like all thay new was the words I DONT KNOW so im here to see what u guys think because u guys have helped me out before . so here we go the suv is a 95 blazer with a 4.3 vortec and i put new plugs and wires cap and bug and it did nothing still ran the same when u drive it u put the gas to floor and its like it has no power cant even get up to 35 miles an hour but at idle it runs great till u hit the gas it misses and has alot of carbon. and no chevy hating aint got the time this is my moms DD and she is in a bad mood over this she loves this blazer and because now she is driving her 88 svo mustang as her DD and her stang has like 16000 thousand miles so she wants her stang back in the garage. thanks

you need to get it hooked up to a code reader. you can take it to a parts store like autozone and they'll do it for free.

actually, i'm not sure if they'll be able to test it. i think they can only test back to 96. might have to take it to a shop.

I agree.  But, you can do some checks on yor own before taking it to get read.  It sounds like it is a fuel delivery problem, so check the fuel filter  for trash, and pump for pressure.    I don't know if 95 Chevys have a Mass Air Flow system, but if it does, then clean the MAF.  Also check your air cleaner to see if needs replacing.  That black smut is an indication that the fuel and air  aren't adjusted properly.  It's either not getting enough fuel, or it's not getting enough air......or both.  Good Luck with that bowtie.

Thanks i will take a look at the fuel on it and filter just dont know much on chevys just trying to help my mom save some money i think if that dont work time for the shop i will say it aint no stang its like taking a knife to a gun fight.......LOL

I agree with soaring. If it runs rich to where u can really smell the gas then most likely the mass air flow.

well the chevy is gone the brain was going out was popping up all kinds of code s so she traded it in for a 99 ford super duty four wheel drive she said the hell with it but thanks guys all the help was awesome.
and yes she cleaned and put her stang back in the garage she put like 900 miles on it and was having a cow and said thats a years worth so it will not be out till next year. LOL

Sounds like you have a strong woman for a mother.  I drive my F-150 a lot, so put about the same mileage on my stangs each year as she does.  I do, however put more miles on my 65 than I do my 03 Mach.  The 03 Mach will be an inheritance gift to my son when I die. Not sure where the 65 will go, but probably to him as well.  These are such special cars, that if you are not into the Mustang family, you wouldn't understand.
