More information is needed. What year Mustang and which engine do you have? The MAF is normally placed just after the air filter, so look there first.

you dont have one unless someone converted it. the 87-88 cars are speed density and run off a predetermined set of fuel tables. this is the reason most guys upgrade so mods are easier to deal with

OK Steve. If he wanted to convert, what would he have to get and where would he have to plug it in to get the MAF to work like on my Mach1?

you need mass air computer for a 5.0 which the main ones are either A9L(5speed) or A9P(auto) and the conversion wiring harness. heres a link you might want to add to the faq for vintage guys going efi glen
