Topic: 86 gt manual trans problem

my son has 86 gt with man trans.he knows syncros out of 1st.been babying trans till can get rebuild.last nite came home,when in gear at idle stop,making grinding noise.doesnt sound like trowout bearing.more of grinding.could something let loose inside hitting gears??

maybe the clutch cable or clutch itself. if it was doing it while in gear thats something to check. was it only when it was in gear it was grinding. if so then the clutch is a definite issue.
