Topic: 1987 5.0 idle serge / slight gas hesitation

idle serge from about 1100 rpm to 1500 rpm back and forth ; also slight hesitation when you press the gas what happens is there is about a half second to a full second hesitation??



i cleaned the throttle body with carb cleaner and it did nothing

Check all your vacuum connections.

i will check better but i had an ac vacuum  leak but i closed it off and i am preety sure that it shouldnt serge with a vacuum leak it would just be higher right or am i wrong

i got rid of the idle surge ( set the timing ) but there is still hesitation when i initially hit the gas but after that it runs like a rape date
