I have one on my 65 that I had Midas muffler put on,  but the 03 Mach came with an H pipe so why bother?  Your 04 GT has an H pipe on it already.  Although the X allows the engine to expirate slightly more, it is not worth the trouble or the money.

It's fun and simple to  install an x-pipe! ANd the gain in HP, you will feel! I give it, for a first timer, 1hr. Should be a breeze with jack stands!

If your putting a new exhaust system on your car, I would highly recommend you get it professionally done unless you have the correct tools to do it yourself. If you mess up any threads at all you might as well say bye bye to your headers and hello exhaust leak.

I have a BBK X pipe with No cats on my car and I love them, very deep and throaty tone.

If you are going to put money into a X pipe, dont get flow masters. They rust out in 2 or 3 years, get the good stuff, BBK, Pypes, Bassani, ect.

I have only heard the BBK (on my car no cats) and Bassani X Pipe No Cats (my dads car) If you want a exotic sound that makes you really stand out from other stangs go with the Bassani X pipe and keep your stock headers. My dad's stang got a little quiter after he installed BBK Headers on it.

Hope that helps a little and good luck!

If you would want an x pipe it would be for sound with your exhaust setup i think it is worth the money you can get a 180 dollar pipe or the 400 depending if you want cats or not i dont have cats on mine and if you dont have a tuner get MIL eliminators but its your car all up to you man

Putting on an xpipe is not hard.  The hardest part would be getting the pass side upper exhaust manifold nut off.  You'll need a 22mm wrench for the O2 sensor and an 18mm medium depth socket for the nut.  I just cut a deep socket to fit it.  Spray all the old nuts and bolts with PB or some type of Liquid Wrench, let it soak and get to it.  Mil eliminators will be needed for the rear O2 sensors to keep your CE light off.  The sound is way different from stock.

I just recently added a pypes x-pipe on my 98 mustang and just adding that made my car sound bad ass!! I would definitely get it professionally done unless you have done it your self before. But highly suggest the x-pipe you will love it and you can definitely feel the power
