standard oil to mobel 1
« on: September 18, 2008, 11:04:36 PM »
I was alway told it was a big no no to go from conventional oil to synthetic oil. The car has 44k on it. I would like to run mobile 1 but also dont want to hurt the motor

The oil that came in the new engine is a break-in oil,.  After about 3 thousand miles, you can change it to whatever you wish.  I first started with Royal Purple after the initial change, but have since changed to Mobil I.  You don't have a problem if you opt for Mobil I at this stage in the game.
