Topic: six speed?

Ok so i think to much and had an idea to put a six speed transmission out of a 03 cobra(wrecked by the way, i wouldnt do that to a good one) in my 96 GT. I have a feeling it will not bolt right up, but am not sure, so i am wondering will it? and if not any good suggestions to get it to? or any other particuarly important and difficult points i should look out for?...thanks much

I don't think it's a bolt in,even if it were going into a 03 GT.My understanding,very limited,is that the driveshaft of the donor needs to be used as it is shorter than a GT car, and that the mounts are different too.Not sure about the bellhousing,etc.

If you are getting the engine, why not just get the transmission attached to it?  The drive shaft can always be cut off or lengthened to fit your rear, but with that then all you would need to worry about is the motor mounts  and tranny cross bar I would think.
