I read alot about the automatic using 4.10 but i have a auto 99 gt and im looking for a rear end gear but i drive some highway and i hear 4.10 are not what i want for that should i go with 3.73s i also heard somthing about 3.90s??

4:10's are for racing from light to light or the quarter. Daily driving in the city calls for the 3:73's and for highway, the 2:73's. Determine what your driving habits are, and go with the gears that fit those habits.

just get 4.10s they help out alot but it also depends on what you want to do later with your car

Don't fear the gear! If you are staying naturally aspirated I'd go 430s with an automatic. 410 or 430s for a manual.
I was running 373s and stepped up to 410s even with my supercharged set up... verrry pleased with the 410s. Awesome on the highway and around town.
