Topic: 98 to 00 motor swap

I have a 98 gt and am in the process of swapping the motor to a 00 4.6 and i have run into an issue with the fuel rail not having a return port, but the 98 did. I dont want to change the untake back to the 98 and the rails wont mount to the 00... any ideas?

Why not swap the intake?  Is there an issue with debris from an engine failure?

If the fuel rail won't bolt up, don't modify it to make it work.  It really needs to be mounted properly.  If these injectors come loose or an o-ring leaks, it could really cause problems.

Besides, the return system and returnless system operate at different pressures.  The injectors, PCM programming, and fuel pump are all different and will need to match each other.

thank you... I think i will have to go that route. There is also an issue or sensors on the 98 intake that are not on the 00. I was only wanting to use the 00 intake for the added power
