3.8L to 4.6L SOHC Engine Please Help
« on: March 29, 2010, 09:39:39 PM »
Has anyone ever changed out a V6 to a V8 motor. I have two questions. First is do I have to replace the ECM Board and second is will the motor be able to bolt back into the same place using the same motor mounts or what will I have to do to get it to bolt in there. Thanks so much in advance. Bo Beeker

I have a lot of respect for guys who change from a 6 to a V8 on anything but a classic, but to be quite honest, I don't think it is worth the labor, trouble and cost on an SN 95.  The resale value is just not there.

There are just too many SN95's out there for sale that already have the V.8 5.0's in them that are much cheaper than putting a 5.0 in a V6 format.  Oh well....if you have the dough, and that is your project, go for it.  It can be done as you well know.
