I am wanting to put 275 40 17 tires all four corners. Does anyone know if this will have rubbing problems or not?  Also, can I put them on my stock 17x8 rims or not.  Help would be greatly appreciated.

Now Im not sure but Im thinking your putting the 17s on a 1969.

If this is so Im going to say NO you wont be able to.

The car came out with 14s all around and once most new owners got home they put 15s in the back.

I put 15 all the way around mine and I got thin ones. forget the size but they are still almost to big.  I dont think 17s will fit in the hole and if they do I will say, yes they will rub.

But if you have a good tire shop they may work some magic that mine couldn't.

Some 17 inch rims will fit in a 2001 Mustang but I am not sure about the tire size you want.
Here is a good page that will help you determine wheel fitment:

Hey sorry about the post I see now that it says 2001.  I must have been half asleep.  We have guys here that have the 17s and bigger on the Mustangs they own.

My 03 Mach1 has 245/45 ZR 17's on it, and it looks like there would be more room for a slightly fatter and taller tire in there.  Just keep the backspacing the same.
