Not much information to go on.  Did he run the codes?  That is what the mechanic is supposed to do the first thing.  Sounds like you are just throwing good money after bad.  Get another Mechanic.

I THOUGHT HE DID CHECK THE CODES BUT NOT SURE AT THIS POINT. I BELIEVE YOU ARE RIGHT... ANOTHER MECHANIC WOULD BE THE FIRST STEP.  THANKS

He should have shown you the printout as such of what the computer says is wrong with your car.  From that point you decide if you want to spend the cash to have that particular problem fixed or not.   Don't let those assholes take money from you and not fix your car simply because you are a woman. Demand they show you the codes.

THANKS A BUNCH.  HE NOW SAYS THAT IT IS THE FUEL PUMP DRIVER MODULE.  SO ALL THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN SHOWN ON THE PRINTOUT RIGHT?

It could very well be the fuel pump driver module.  The codes will tell him that.  Sounds like he is trying to get money from you that he should not be getting.  I don't trust mechanics because they  know you don't know jack about the mechanical aspect of your Mustang.

It could be the FPDM, if he's using a scanner he may have just gotten a generic code.

I've seen quite a few FPDM's go. Ask him if he checked the FPRS to make sure that is functioning properly as well.

have you checked to see if the fuel safety switch is tripped? it is in the trunk if its tripped then the car will not start

check your owners manual to make sure of the location, once you find it all you do is press down to0 reset
