1996 V8 Auto.
« on: July 02, 2010, 09:48:26 PM »
Looking to buy one tomorrow and this will hopefully be my first mustang.

Are all the V8a GTs and how can you tell if there has been a swap into a base model.

Thers are not GT badges so i'm wondering.

Anything else you can tell me to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that Ford designated all Mustangs with V8 engines built in the early 1990s (maybe even earlier) as GTs. If you have the VIN of the car, post it and someone here can decode it.

The GT badges didn't come out until later.  Give us the VIN like Jim said.
