02 4.6 Crown Vic swap
« on: September 19, 2009, 12:10:51 PM »
My 96 gt motor is shot and I can get a 02 4.6 v8 from a Crown Victoria. What if anything do I need to change to make the swap.
Thanks'

All the modular engines '93-present share the same bellhousing pattern so that shouldn't be a problem.  Most likely you will need to get the Lincoln engine mounts and probably will have to get new headers.

You will probably need your pulleys ad accessories off the front of you motor also. I have some mod pieces for those pi heads you are putting on with the 02 motor, see link.
