2007 Ford Mustang Giugiaro Concept
November 28th, 2006Horse-hide interior. Huge glass roof. Carbon-fiber fenders. Electrically operated scissor doors. Even if you forget about the voluptuously resculpted sheetmetal, it’s clear this isn’t a typical Mustang.
Reinterpreted by Giorgetto Giugaro, his son Fabrizio, and the rest of the highly skilled designers at the famed Giugaro design works in Turin, this ‘Stang represents an impressive blend of American muscle and Italian design. To create the car’s unique look, Giugaro pulled the body panels in as tight as they could go, reduced the rear overhang, and widened the car by 1.2 inches in the front and 3.1 inches at the back. The result is a beautiful fastback that fills our heads with images of early-’70s Boss Mustangs.
