How much excitement and sporty character can the current Ford Mustang really offer? The answer to this question delivers 520 hp / 382.7 kW, reaches a top speed of 287 km/h, and in addition to racing-inspired body styling painted a hot GeigerCars.de orange offers an exclusive interior with 10,000-watt sound system. The show car Mustang GT 520 from GeigerCars.de, Europe’s leading tuner of American automobiles, demonstrates the true potential of the reborn sports car legend.

More power through more displacement and supercharge the whole thing to boot is the recipe behind GeigerCars.de’s performance tuning of the Mustang GT V8 engine. Displacement was increased from 4.6 to 5.2 liters, and the engine was extensively reworked. Precision-machining of both cylinder heads, installing sport camshafts and reinforcing the valvetrain are part of the GeigerCars.de power treatment as is a belt-driven supercharger with generously dimensioned intercooler. A fully stainless-steel high-performance sport exhaust system with high-performance manifold and metal catalysts round out the engine conversion.

In this guise the eight-cylinder engine produces a proud maximum power output of 520 hp / 382.7 kW, up from stock 300 hp / 220 kW. The peak torque of 563 Nm is available at 4,730 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified six-speed manual gearbox and a sport clutch. The GeigerCars.de Mustang GT 520 delivers exceptional performance: The sprint from 0 - 100 km/h takes just 4.2 seconds; top speed is 287 km/h. For an optimal supply of cooling and intake air the Munich tuner has also developed a special hood with large air dams.

The GeigerCars.de GT 520 engine was created during the development of the supercharger kit for the Ford Mustang GT, which will be available this fall. It boosts power output of the normal V8 engine to 412 hp / 303 kW. Already on sale is the GeigerCars.de stainless-steel sport exhaust that is also used on the show car. This exhaust system not only delivers a more exciting exhaust note but also more spectacular looks with its two large chromed tailpipes.

Another GeigerCars.de innovation is the sporty aerodynamic-enhancement kit that is designed to fit both body styles of the current Mustang, convertible and coupe.

The new front fascia was designed to be easily exchanged for the production bumper, thanks to its precise fit and the retention of the original mounting points. The large oval air dam ensures ample supply of cooling air for all radiators and coolers. The lateral openings were shaped to optimize the air flow for best possible brake cooling. The integrated front spoiler reduces lift on the front axle.

The GeigerCars.de rear fascia with integrated diffuser is also designed as a replacement part. Together with a large adjustable wing it produces notably more downforce on the rear axle than the production car.

The GeigerCars.de rocker panels round out the sport package for the latest Mustang models.

The spectacular appearance is further enhanced by multi-piece GeigerCars.de chrome wheels. The Mustang wheel houses offer enough space to fit five-spoke wheels in size 9Jx20 in front with size 255/35 ZR 20 tires. The rear axle features size 10Jx20 wheels with tires in size 285/30 ZR 20.

Specially matched to this extreme tire/wheel combination is the height-adjustable GeigerCars.de coil-over suspension. Firmer damper settings and a ride-height lowering of up to 50 millimeters lend the two-door even more agile handling. GeigerCars.de sport sway bars minimize body roll in fast corners and make turn-in more precise.

To keep the exceptional performance of the GT 520 safely in check at all times GeigerCars.de has developed a high-performance brake system for the Mustang. It features vented and cross-drilled 355 x 32-mm brake discs and four-piston aluminum calipers on the front axle. For even better stopping power the GeigerCars.de sport brake system with 355 x 32-mm discs and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers can be installed additionally on the rear axle.

The interior of the show car is hardly recognizable as belonging to a Ford Mustang: The exclusive fully leather black interior features highly contoured sport seats for improved lateral support, and, most of all, a multimedia sound system from JBL that was custom-tailored acoustically and visually to the interior of the Ford Mustang coupe.

The sound system is controlled by an Alpine IVA-W200Ri head unit connected to a digital PXA-H701 sound processor from the same manufacturer. It allows the driver of the GT 520 to shape the sound according to his or her personal preferences. Thanks to the easy-to-use iPod adapter “Drive&Play” from harman/kardon the driver can enjoy the music stored on his iPod in addition to listening to radio, CD’s and DVD’s.

There’s no such thing as too much power and thus the Mustang from GeigerCars.de offers not just copious amounts of same under the hood but also in the interior. A total of four JBL amps, types Px300.4, Px600.2 and A6000GTI, drive the speakers with no less than 10,000 watts of power. A bigger alternator and five Optima Yellow Top batteries ensure the stereo system’s electrical health even at full volume.

The best was also barely good enough when it came to the integration of the loudspeakers: None other than installation specialist Renato Rivic from X-Dream-CarAudio implanted the distinguished products for JBL in the Ford Mustang. His futuristic shapes and choice of luxury materials add quite a bit more style to the interior. The vehicle now features a perfectly integrated real 5.1 surround system with top-shelf hardware from JBL. The speakers are located on the dashboard, in the doors, the space formerly occupied by the two rear emergency seats, and in the trunk: Two W15GTI subwoofers as well as three C508GTI, two GTO804 and one C608 GTI loudspeaker systems guarantee exceptional listening pleasure. Individual components of this vehicle are available for all current Mustang models.

ok, so im not a fan of the new mustangs but this one is a real attention getter. although it looks more like an import than a muscle car.

  2. Nethead Says:

Peter, this IS an import. It sounds like a lot of custom body, chassis, and engine work for 120,000 Euros–maybe Evo or other European mag will test this bad boy. I think this makes sixteen companies offering modified Mustangs for sale–some companies offer several levels of mods depending upon the size of the wad you carry in your hip pocket. It would be a helluva comparo for each of the Mustang tuner companies to meet for a shoot-out at a track where a dragstrip is also available. Naturally, those companies more into appearance and handling (Foose, say) will have their hands full against those companies leaning more towards engine power (Fang Performance claims their models can go up to 800 or 900 HP with their twin turbo options). Geiger is the first one I’m aware of that’s based outside the US, and they are offering a potent package indeed! No wonder SEMA records show that Mustangs are the most modified vehicles in the history of the Earth.

  3. Nethead Says:

Addendum: The GeigerCars.de GT520 rates four stars out of five. Points came off for skirts (esp the unnecessary skirting underneath the rear bumper) and non-functional hood scoops (additional pics show intake tubing routed to the passenger side gap between the radiator and the passenger side front wheelwell).
If you count Ford Motor Company’s in-house tuner cars for sale–the GT500, the FR500C, and the Shelby GT–there are no less than 18 manufacturers of tuner Mustangs: Shelby, Saleen, Steeda, Kenny Brown, Roush, Foose, Xtreme Mustang Performance, Cervini, Dream Car Factory, Fang Performance, Black Widow Enterprises, Extreme Dimensions, Temple Performance Cars, Pure Power Motorsports, Cragar Wheels, Heritage Customs, and now GeigerCars.de! Many of these tuners offer several models of new Mustangs, with Kenny Brown’s CSR69 possibly being the most unusual and Saleen’s Parnelli Jones Edition possibly being the most desirable. Several levels of power are commonly offered, from standard Mustang GT engines with aftermarket exhausts to the outrageous Pure Power Motorsports Shadrach Mustang. Check out the December issue of Car & Driver magazine’s cover story of the 550 HP 5.0 ‘Cammer they call “MOTHERFR500!” Yes, the inference is as intentional as it is apt!
