2005-2006 Mustang GT Remote twin turbos
May 1st, 2006Squires Turbo Systems created a remote mount twin turbo kit for 2005 and 2006 Ford Mustangs that allows you to mount the turbocharger in place of the muffler, rather than under the hood. STS claims cooler running temperatures for both turbocharger and engine. On a stock 4.6L engine, the rear wheel horse power climbs to over 447hp, a 73% increase.

Routing the boost-pressured air from the turbos to the intakes UNDERNEATH the rear axle seems vulnerable to me. Engine compartments are tight when V8s reside within them, but there HAS to be a better way…
